Shared Services of Alaska Leasing and Facilities program manages separate aspects of the Executive Branch's office procurement and space management needs. This program coordinates with the Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) to manage the maintenance, operation, and capital improvement projects of the facilities established under the Alaska Public Building Fund (PBF).

Leasing Overview
The Leasing program is responsible for evaluating, negotiating, procuring, managing, and administering leases and contracts for space from the private sector and State property owners on behalf of the Executive Branch. Our mission is to provide cost effective space for State agencies in a timely manner.

Facilities Overview

In FY18 the Facilities program began to transition maintenance, operation, and management of Department of Administration (DOA) state owned buildings over to the Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF). Shared Services of Alaska and DOT&PF continue to coordinate on the space management needs of tenant agencies including relocation, construction, and renovation projects in DOA facilities.

What We Do
- Negotiate lease terms and consolidate private leased space into state-owned facilities when economies can be realized.
- Provide oversight and management of lease terms and conditions to ensure compliance.
- Manage space-planning and architectural design services for agencies to achieve greater space utilization.
- Urgently address and remedy tenant concerns and hold private lessors accountable for all cure issues relevant to the lease.

Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) is the electronic transfer of money from one bank account to another, either within a single financial institution or across multiple institutions, through computer-based systems and without the direct intervention of bank staff. This process offers the benefits of increased security, certainty, and the immediate use of funds while reducing the chance of errors. What We Do
- Manage and assign office and other types of space in DOA Buildings to tenant agencies according to the guidelines established under PBF and Non-PBF code.
- Occupancy Rate Development
- Provide oversight and management of occupancy agreement terms and conditions to ensure compliance.
- Manage space-planning and architectural design services for agencies to achieve greater space utilization.
- Provide oversight for associated tenant improvements, deferred maintenance, and capital improvement projects.
